Lauren Graham, Gilmore Girl 4 Life

No matter where she goes or what she does  – and she’s actually pretty fantastic on Parenthood, which just started its second season – Lauren Graham will always be Lorelai Gilmore to me. Where she leads, I will follow, any-anywhere that she tells me to…yeah, I digress. Anyhow, part of being a Gilmore Girl is having fantastic hair, right? (Answer: Yes. Revisit the last couple of seasons of GG for some proof if you don’t believe me; Lorelai and Rory both had hair that was almost distractingly pretty.) You may think that having such beautiful straight hair is a gift from the hair gods, but I bet Lauren relies on her Farouk flat iron for a little help here and there.

One of Lauren’s signature looks is this side-parted, sleek silhouette. If you want to do it yourself just grab a Chi flat iron and straighten hair in sections. Remember, the bigger the plate, the faster  you’ll be able to straighten your hair…but if you go too big, it’ll be more difficult to manage, so choose with care! Always finish with a shine serum (or spray) to lock in moisture and give it that glossy Gilmore look. Easy, right? That’s just the way Lorelai would want it!
